Learning with horses involves partnering horses with humans for education and wellness.
I am Level II Trained with the Natural Lifemanship equine-assisted services training program. I partner with the horses at Soarci Stable in Palmer, Alaska (pronounced “Sir-shee,” an Irish Gaelic word, meaning freedom), owned and operated by Alli Watson. Trauma damages our ability to be in healthy relationships. Relationship principles, taught through interaction with a horse, allow us to become aware of, practice and experience healthy relational patterns in a physical/ sensory way. With Natural Lifemanship's horsemanship ethics, the human and the horse are both valued, their respective needs recognized and honored. Learning via this partnership can serve to retrain us in our interactions with ourselves and other humans.
